What is Graphology?

  • Graphology is the study of handwriting analysis.
  • It is used to interpret personality and character.
  • Much is revealed by the way we shape, space and from letters and words.
  • How the writing is arranged on a page gives clues to what makes a person 'tick'.
  • While the spoken word can hide real thoughts and feelings, genuine emotions cannot be disguised in handwriting.
  • There is nothing mystical or spiritual about handwriting analysis.

How does handwriting analysis work?

By looking at the whole sample, together with margins, speed, spacing, proportions, signature, personal pronoun 'I', and individual traits, these provide the framework that enables the graphologist to produce a personality profile. Traits are measured to determine their intensity.

What does a handwriting analysis reveal?

Graphology cannot tell:

  • Sex
  • Age
  • Race or colour
  • Profession or occupation
  • The future!

How is Graphology used?

Is Graphology a recognised profession?

Yes, there is an International Graphology Association (IGA).

The IGA has strict Ethics and a Code of Conduct.
